Q: What is Dulux Easycare? How does it work?
Dulux Easycare Washable & Tough is the latest innovation from Dulux, and has unique stain repellent technology that repels liquid spills, making them easier to wash away.
When liquid spills hit a wall painted in Dulux Easycare, the stain repellent technology turns the liquid into beads, which sit on the surface of the paint, making them easier to wash away.
Q: What typical stains does Dulux Easycare repel?
The unique stain repellent matt finish of Dulux Easycare repels typical household liquid spills such as wine, juice, cola, coffee and mud. Liquid spills bead on the surface. For best results clean spills as soon as possible to prevent staining.
Q: What sort of cleaning solution can I use to clean Dulux Easycare?
Most spills and stains can be removed with a soft, non-abrasive damp cleaning cloth, however for best results we recommend using a non-bleached based cleaner, such as Fairy Liquid and a soft, non-abrasive damp cloth to remove any marks.
Q: If I have cleaned the paint surface once, will Dulux Easycare still repel spills and stains?
If the surface of the paint has been washed, the stain repellent properties will return once the paint is fully dry.
Q: What’s the difference between Endurance and Dulux Easycare?
Dulux Easycare has the same Diamond Tough technology of Dulux Endurance, being 20 times tougher than standard emulsion so you can remove stubborn marks without removing the paint film. Unlike Endurance, Dulux Easycare also has unique stain repellent technology which repels liquid spills, making them easier to wash away.
Q: Does it prevent the surface from being marked, or is it just that you can remove the marks?
This will depend upon the reason for marking. In most some cases performance will be equivalent to Endurance however where the mark originates from a water-based liquid the probability of staining will be lower due to the repellency of the coating. Any remaining marks can be removed by wiping.

Q: Can I use Dulux Easycare Washable & Tough in the kitchen or bathroom?
Dulux Easycare Washable & Tough can be used in any room in your house however for bathrooms we would recommend Easycare Bathroom as it is an exceptionally tough moisture and steam resistant paint. For Kitchens we would recommend Easycare Kitchen as it an exceptionally tough grease resistant paint resisting everyday cooking stains..
Q: Can I overpaint it with a non-durable product?
Yes, Dulux Easycare can be overcoated with other emulsions, however the “stain repellent” benefit would not be maintained.
Q: Do I need to use it everywhere in the house if I have kids/pets?
Dulux Easycare is an ideal product for withstanding the spills and marks of areas typically used by kids and pets day to day, such as hallways and living spaces, or kids bedrooms and playrooms.
Q: Can it be used on new plaster?
New plaster can either be painted using Dulux Sealer for Plaster followed by 2 coats of Dulux Easycare or a thinned coat of Dulux Easycare can go direct onto new plaster followed by un-thinned 2 coats of the finish.
Q: Is it breathable?
Yes.
Q: Can it go onto Silk emulsion?
To avoid cracking lightly abrade any previous silk coating before applying Dulux Easycare.
