Trick to Try: How to Paint Outdoor Furniture
In need of a garden refresh? A lick of paint goes a long way.
No matter how big or small your outdoor space is, an easy transformation or clever refresh can be achieved by simply painting your garden furniture. Have a few tired looking wooden chairs? It’s time to revive them.
Watch the video above and then read below for the step-by-step guide.
What you’ll need:
- 1 Tin of Cuprinol Garden Shades
- Paint brush
- Sanding block
- Dusting brush
Step 1 Using your sanding block, sand around the surfaces of your wooden furniture. Make sure all the surfaces are dry, free from dirt and that any previously treated wood is stripped back.
Step 2 Dust off all your newly sanded surfaces using the dusting brush.
Step 3 It’s time to add colour! We've used Iris here. Stir your paint thoroughly before beginning using it. Using your paint brush start applying the colour evenly along the grain of the wood.
Step 4 After completing the first coat, leave to dry for about four hours before applying a second coat.
Step 5 Invite your friends over, your garden is ready for dining al fresco!
