Drip-effect on painted pumpkins
You will need:
2” brush
Pots to decant paint
Pumpkins of various sizes
Water
Paint in your chosen colours
Dust sheet
Method:
Prepare your space and ready your tools. Avoid the horror of stained flooring or tables by setting down a dust sheet on your work surface
Paint your pumpkin white and allow to dry
Mix some of your chosen colour with a little water so it’s thinner in consistency and runny
Apply paint to the brush and at the top of the pumpkin push the brush onto the surface. Allow the paint to run down. Repeat until you are happy with the amount of drips
Let the pumpkin dry thoroughly. Drying time will vary, depending on the thickness of your paint
You can use this technique for lots of different sized pumpkins and create a cluster of creepy decorations. Combining drip-effect pumpkins with solid painted colours is the perfect way to style.
